Another project which also teamed me with my good friend Mr. Bassam Zantout, and was conceived and implemented alongside the overhaul of the CS department's systems infrastructure, was the building of LAU's first ever High Performance Computing (HPC) Cluster based on the Beowulf architecture using COTS and old Pentium III PCs.

The glue to bind this small cluster was Rocks Cluster software which is a free distribution based on the Red Hat Linux Distro which comes with all the tools and environments necessary to get up and running with HPC software development.

Configuration, maintenance, and upkeep were handled by us as well.
